When you have chosen to have a smaller ceremony followed
by a larger reception, you will need to invite a smaller
number of guests to the ceremony than to the full reception.
You will want to make a separate guest list and have a card
for those invited to the ceremony as well as the reception.
Ceremony cards serve just this purpose.
Your Ceremony card may coordinate with the invitation to
the reception, or it can vary in design. Ceremony cards are
included in the mailing with the reception invitation to
those individuals invited to both. The wording of the
ceremony card may be the same as that of a typical wedding
invitation, or it may be less formal and simply state the
following information:
